Mirage on Display Mirage IIIEX Prototype
|
|
|
These images are of the lone Mirage IIIEX. Originally Mirage IIIE n°467 (13-QJ),
this was the prototype for an upgrade refit by Dassault for ex-Armée de l'Air Mirage
IIIEs being offered to export customers. Included in the package was the SNECMA
Atar 09K-50 engine, canards, fixed in-flight refueling probe, a longer nose (F1 style),
new avionics including HUD, and other refinements. Parts of the upgrade were
applied to other export versions aircraft. The aircraft is on display at the
"Musée Européen de l'Aviation de Chasse", located at the airfield Ancone of
Montelimar (LFLQ). The images were kindly submitted by Y-Raymond.
