20 December 2022 - I put up the annual Holiday Season's Greeting (Mirage in snow) on the Home page.

13 December 2025 - Another repaint of the Mirage 2000 of Miltech Simulations M2K-C for MSFS 2020.  This one is by LOT03.  The pack includes testures for two aircraft the Couteau Delta tactical demonstration team.  The Couteau Delta team is composed of pilots from Escadrons de Chasse 2/3 'Champagne' and 3/3 'Ardennes' based at BA133 Nancy Ochey Airbase (LFSO).

30 November 2025 - Here is another Mirage 2000 repaint by Jan Kees Blom.  This one is of a Mirage 2000P of the Peru Air Force in their distinctive sand and brown camouflage scheme from 2005.  The current scheme is an overall gray.  The aircraft is from Escuadrón Caza-bombardeo 412 of the Grupo Aéreo N°4 based at Base Aérea La Joya.

20 November 2025 - One final trip to Colorado to complete all transactions.  And while I was away, Sylvain Parouty and the folks at the Royale French Navy released their new Super Etendard (SUE) for 64-bit Prepar3D (P3Dv4 to v6).  Two models are included — 1970-1980 and 1980-1990 — as well as three texture sets for the two eras.  A completely new analog cockpit is included with eight different Head-Up-Display (HUD) modes and four functional radar modes.  Also there are eight different TacPack compatible weapon configurations with numerous alternate armements including bombs, rockets, external tanks, missiles, etc.

8 November 2025 - Alpha60 has released version 3.5 of his conversion of the FSX Rafale M by Thor's Hammer for MSFS 2020/2024. . This update includes customization of pilot and helmet (depending on the livery), 3D realignment of control surfaces and UV modification, increased stability during takeoff/landing, increased vertical compensation, and new liveries for the 2025 Solo Display and Rafale F4.  There are now 23 textures included, and with a little work in filename renaming, they can be used on the original FSX version.

2 November 2025 - Continuing with the Mirage 2000 repaints of the Miltech Simulations M2K-C for MSFS 2020, here is one by Jan Kees Blom of an ex-Brazilian Air Force F-2000C in the markings of PROCOR as it appeared at BA116 Luxeuil-Saint-Sauveur AB (LFSX) in 2021.  The French company PROCOR purchased several of the aircraft for use in the adversary role to train European Air Forces.

25 October 2025 - Since I'm working on listing the Mirage 2000 repaints I found a flight model modification by Pilot._mathis974 for the Miltech Simulations M2K-C.  Intended to enhance the flight characteristics of the Mirage 2000C it includes modifications to weight and balance, stall speed, maneuverability, and stability during landing, resulting in a more authentic flying experience.  Installation involves replacing existing files within the community folder.

18 October 2025 - I've been traveling back and forth between California and Colorado on family business for the past year and a half so I haven't been able to keep the website updated very often.  And there hasn't been much activity with flightsim Mirages.  So I'm going to start listing the individual MSFS 2020/2024 repaints that I have found.  Doing so one at a time should keep the activity up through the rest of the year.  You can of course find them all at once on your own.

The first is a fictitious Mirage 2000 repaint in camouflage colors based at BA102 Dijon Longvic (LFSD) and in the unit markings of EC 1/2 'Cigognes' and EC 2/2 'Côte d'Or', similar to the trainer unit markings back in the Mirage III days.  The textures are for use with the Miltech Simulations M2K-C.  They are compatable with both MSFS 2020 and 2024.

In memory of those lost on September 11, 2001.
We will never forget!

22 August 2025 - It has been a while.  I found a scenery by Jean Lacante at the Restauravia website.  The MSFS2020 scenery is for Cuers-Pierrefeu Airfield (LFTF).  This is a joint civilian military airfield.  As always it is very well made and very detailed presentation.

14 July 2025 - Happy Bastille Day!  Liberty, Equality and Fraternity!  Vive la France!

11 July 2025 - Restauravia have made a new scenery for MSFS 2020 and 2024.  Naval Air Base (BAN) Lanvéoc-Poulmic (LFRL) is located on the Crozon peninsula in Finistère.  It is one of the four air bases of the French Navy.  This is a very complete scenery package.

4 July 2025 : Hard to believe it's already July.  The year is half way over.  Happy Independence Day!

14 June 2025 - It's been very quiet in the Mirage for Flight Simulator arena over the past month.  About the only thing to report is that the Miltech Simulations Mirage 2000C for MSFS (both FS2020 and FS2024) is on sale at 20% off.  Might be time for a closer look?

18 May 2025 - Restauravia have continued work on their M.D 450 Ouragan for MSFS 2020 and 2024 by bringing it to version 1.1.  The update corrects several bugs and errors.

5 May 2025 - Both of the Étendard aircraft (IVM and IVP) from Sylvain Parouty and the Royal French Navy team have undergone significant upgrades to bring them to a version 4.0 for P3D 64-bit versions ( Prepar3D v4, v5, and v6).  The models have been improved and enhanced with new PBR textures, more complete functions (including a range of weapons compatible with Tacpack) and new C++ gauges for a rendering as close as possible to what the Etendard IV was between the 60s and 80s.  There is also now an IVPM version.

26 April 2025 - Restauravia has been converting some of their catalog to work in MSFS.  Earlier this month Philippe Penot and the Restauravia team released the M.D 450 Ouragan fighter.  The aircraft works in both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024.  It includes a complete cockpit and textures sets of four Armée de l'Air units plus the Patrouille Acrobatique de France demonstration team.

19 April 2025 - Alexandre Remy released a scenery of BA133 Nancy Ochey Airbase (LFSO) for use with MSFS2024 (I flew it is MSFS2020).  All of the buildings have been modeled as well as static objects.  The base is home to four Mirage 2000D units — EC 1/3 'Navarre', EC 2/3 'Champagne', EC 3/3 'Ardennes', and Escadron de Transformation Mirage 4/3 'Argonne'.

13 April 2025 - The M2K-C (Mirage 2000C) for MSFS 2020/2024 from Miltech Simulations is now available on the MSFS Marketplace.  It differs from the original release in that the bombs, missiles, and guns are only cosmetic with no animations.  The flares and chaff have visual and sound effects.  Otherwise still a remarkable rendering.

5 April 2025 - Alexandre Remy released a scenery of BA113 Saint Dizier Airbase (LFSI) for use with MSFS2020.  The base has been reproduced as faithfully as possible based on the information available with additions to be made as information is collected.  The airbase is home three Rafale units — EC 1/4 'Gascogne', EC 2/4 'La Fayette' and Rafale Transition Squadron 3/4 'Aquitaine'.

30 March 2025 - The Rafale M for MSFS 2020/2024 by Alpha60 can now be downloaded from flyawaysimulation.com.  They have put together a nice promotion page with a lot of description and images.

16 March 2025 - I found a new repaint of the Mirage F1 for FS2020 and probably FS2024.  This is a Mirage F1AZ in the colors of the Aerosud company demonstrator that is now at the SAAF Museum near Zwarthop Air Force Base.  The texture will work with both FS2020 conversions by Alexander Remi or Jean Lacante.

10 March 2025 - The version 3.3 update of the Rafale M for FS2020/2024 has been released.  This update (along with v3.2) includes modificatios to the HUD glass and 3D pilot and further modifications for FS2024.  No new textures this time.  Have a look at this video of v2.8.  Turn your volume down.

2 March 2025 - I updated the scenery listing for products by SkyDesigners.  I added BA 702 Avord (LFOA).  Updated for MSFS, the scenery is very immersive with hundreds of objects including static EMB-121 Xingu and E-3F AWACS aircraft.

22 February 2025 - Miltech Simulations has released a new Mirage 2000C for MSFS (both FS2020 and FS2024).  The aircraft is initially available from Miltech Simulations but will also be available in the game direct from the MS Marketplace (with downgraded weapons system functionality).  16 textures are included with France (squadrons and special liveries), Egypt, Qatar, Peru, India, Greece, Ukraine, Taiwan, and Brazil, among others.

12 February 2025 - I discovered that the Supercarrier Pro product from Miltech Simulations includes a rendering of the "Charles de Gaulle" (R 91).  The ship has been a part of the product since version 1.1.0 in February 2024.  Included are static Rafale M and E-2C Hawkeye aircraft.

2 February 2025 - Version 3.1 update of the Rafale M for FS2020 has been released.  This update includes various changes for FS2024 compatibility and flight model modifications.  The FS2024 mods add a Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD) of sorts, and an avionics brightness switch.  Because it is based on the original version by Thor's Hammer with no change to the texture mapping, the 21 included textures (after some file renaming) can be made to work with the FSX version.

24 January 2025 - Here is another new texture repaint by Mark (Tranquil) Beale.  This scheme is for a Rafale M of Flottille 11F - Detachment CEPA/10 based at BAN Landivisiau (LFRJ) and onboard the Charles de Gaulle (R91).  The aircraft wears a special marking "CEPA: The future of Naval Aviation - Combat Proven since 2004" for the certification of the Rafale to the F4 standard in 2024.  The textures are for FSX/P3D.

4 January 2025 - Welcome to 2025.  Lets start things off with a repaint for the Mirage 2000C.  The "Ile de France" livery by WVisagie requires the Metal2Mesh payware aircraft and is the textures only.

1 January 2025 - Best Wishes and Happy New Year to All!
